The Smurfs were created by Pierre Culliford or Peyo. He was born in 1928 he was from Belgium, and passed away in 1992. You will find his name stamped on every smurf figurine, besid the Schleich logo. His son. Thierry Culliford, is continuing Peyo's smurfy activities.
The Smurfs started on a show called Johan's and Peewit's adventures in "The Magic Flute" episode. Were do smurfs come from? Well no on knows for sure except that they just appear under a leaf in the forest and the closest village takes them in. To get to smurf village is impossible unless a smurf takes you to it and fat chance of that happening they are too busy doing other things.
