Fred McFeely Rogers, the man who plays Mr. Rogers was born in 1928, in the height of the roaring twenties. In 1951 he graduated from Rollins College and is hired by NBC as a floor director and Pa for that companies new television department. In 1952 he Marries Joanne Byrd. In 1953 Develops The Children's Corner for the newly formed PBS organization just outside of his hometown of Pittsburgh. In 1963 Is ordained as a Presbyterian minister. In 1968 Mister Rogers debuts on PBS.
