Information
Iguanas
are often thought to be green but that is not always
the case. They vary in color from blue, brown and green.
They also tend to have dark strips on their body and
tail. They are like the Chameleon because they can change
their body color. The Chameleon uses this change to
protect it from predators but the Iguana changes color
because they want to attract more light. They will also
become darker if they are stressed or frightened. Iguanas
can see above, below, behind, and in front of them.
They also can see into the higher wavelengths beyond
what humans can see. They also have very powerful ears
so you should never play loud stereos or televisions
near them. Their hearing is far more sensitive then
human hearing.
