Information
Frogs
are known as amphibians. They spend approximately half
their lives in water and the other half in water. The
word amphibian comes from 2 Greek words, "amphi" which
means "both" and "bios" which means "life". Frogs are
cold blooded and their skin can easily absorb water
into their body so they do not have to drink water through
their mouthes. Frogs rear legs are used to help them
leap far ahead. They are great jumpers. The front legs
or arms are short and are usually used to help the frog
eat it's food and sit waiting for its next meal, or
just to have a look around.
